Dr. Mohd Norfian Alifiah obtained his PhD in Business Management, with specialization in Finance from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), Malaysia. He is an Associate Member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), Malaysian Institute of Management (MIM) and Malaysian Finance Association (MFA). His area of research interest is bankruptcy, financial distress, capital structure and working capital management. He had managed to guide two PhD candidates towards graduation and he currently has five PhD candidates doing their PhD under his supervision in the area of accounting and finance. He is also involved with some research grants such as Research University Grants and Fundamental Research Grants Scheme. He had published some articles in international journals that can be found online in the internet.
