Dr. Yogeeswari Subramaniam​

Dr. Yogeeswari Subramaniam has been with Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) since 2021 and is currently a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Management. She has over 8 years of combined academic and professional experience in Malaysia, contributing actively to teaching, research, supervision, consultation, and community-based programmes at the university and national levels. She also serves as an editorial board member and holds multiple international committee appointments, reflecting her active engagement in global academic networks. Her research passion is grounded in development economics, food security, environmental sustainability, energy economics, financial economics, and empirical modelling—areas strongly represented across her extensive publication record. To date, she has produced over 60 scholarly outputs, including 13 ISI-indexed articles, 16 Scopus-indexed papers, 6 book chapters, and multiple technical reports and conference proceedings. Her openness to cross-border collaboration has enabled her to lead and participate in international research projects and contribute to global initiatives such as the Resilient Cities Programme, the International Symposium on Business & Accounting, and various sustainability-focused research networks. Dr. Yogeeswari earned her Bachelor of Economics from Universiti Putra Malaysia, followed by a Master of Arts (Finance) and a Doctor of Philosophy (Finance) from Universiti Sains Malaysia. Her doctoral thesis, completed in 2020, examined the role of biofuel production, environmental quality, and remittances in shaping food security in developing countries, reflecting her long-standing commitment to addressing global sustainability challenges. Her academic journey demonstrates strong dedication to impactful research, innovative teaching, and meaningful community engagement.
