Exploring Contemporary Logistics Issues – Hearing from the Expert 
A group of 39 students from Logistics Management course, Bachelor of Management (Marketing) at Faculty of Management, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) participated in an enlightening session titled “Contemporary Issues in Logistics: A Survey from Industry Perspectives” on 31 December 2023.
This event featured an engaging talk by logistics expert, Mr. Melvin Long Chay Winn, the Director of Bachelor of Supply Chain Management and Business Administration at Raffles University.
Mr. Melvin, with his rich background in both industry and academia, provided the students a rare insight into the current challenges and evolving strategies within the logistics sector. His presentation bridged the gap between theoretical knowledge and its practical application in the real world, offering a unique perspective on the dynamic field of logistics. A key feature of the event was the interactive session with the students, especially notable during the Q&A segment. He fostered a lively exchange of ideas and deepened the students’ practical understanding of logistics management.
This event was a pivotal step in equipping our marketing students with the skills and adaptability needed for the ever-changing logistics industry. We are immensely thankful to Mr. Melvin for his valuable contribution and for inspiring our future logistics professionals!
