The first Faculty of Management, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) meeting for 2024 was held on 9 May at the FM Convention Hall, chaired by the Dean of the faculty, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmad Jusoh. It commenced with an inspiring welcome speech by the Dean, emphasising the importance of teamwork, innovation, and strategic collaboration in achieving the faculty’s objectives and KPI’s for the academic year.
The minutes from the last meeting were reviewed and approved, indicating a clear and shared understanding of past resolutions and ongoing projects.
Presentations from all members of the Faculty Executive Committee included updates on current academic and student affairs, research initiatives, updates for current programmes, financial strategies, as well as staff achievements and involvement.
The new strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of education and operational efficiency were outlined, along with updates on facilities and IT enhancements that are critical to supporting the faculty’s growing needs.
The meeting concluded with a question and answer session, where faculty members engaged with the presenters, clarifying doubts and providing suggestions on various topics discussed.
