𝑮𝑹𝑬𝑬𝑵𝑶𝑽𝑨𝑻𝑰𝑶𝑵 𝑷𝑹𝑶𝑻𝑶𝑻𝒀𝑷𝑬 2025: 𝑰𝒏𝒏𝒐𝒗𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒂 𝑺𝒖𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝑭𝒖𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆

𝗚𝗥𝗘𝗘𝗡𝗢𝗩𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗧𝗬𝗣𝗘 2025 successfully showcased student creativity and environmental consciousness through a sustainability-themed innovation challenge. This active learning initiative brought together around 17 teams, including participants from both local and international institutions, to design functional prototypes made entirely from recyclable and reused materials such as plastic bottles, newspapers, discarded wood, and aluminum.
The program was jointly facilitated by 𝑫𝒓. 𝑴𝒐𝒉𝒅 𝒁𝒖𝒍𝒇𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒊 𝑯𝒂𝒔𝒂𝒏 and 𝑫𝒓. 𝑵𝒐𝒓𝒉𝒂𝒛𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒂 𝑱𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒍, with strong support from 𝑺𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒈𝒊 𝑺𝒐𝒄𝒊𝒆𝒕𝒚, Faculty of Management. The event also featured a distinguished panel of six judges from Universitas Bung Hatta (Indonesia), Universitas Andalas (Indonesia), Faculty of Civil Engineering, and Faculty of Management, UTM.
Each team presented their green prototype along with a poster detailing the product’s purpose, development process, materials used, and environmental impact. The presentations, held physically, encouraged students to refine their communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while promoting sustainability awareness.
