This active learning initiative brought together around 17 teams, including participants from both local and international institutions, to design functional prototypes made entirely from recyclable and reused materials such as plastic bottles, newspapers, discarded wood, and aluminum.
The program was jointly facilitated by ๐‘ซ๐’“. ๐‘ด๐’๐’‰๐’… ๐’๐’–๐’๐’‡๐’‚๐’ƒ๐’๐’Š ๐‘ฏ๐’‚๐’”๐’‚๐’ and ๐‘ซ๐’“. ๐‘ต๐’๐’“๐’‰๐’‚๐’›๐’“๐’Š๐’๐’‚ ๐‘ฑ๐’‚๐’Ž๐’Š๐’, with strong support from ๐‘บ๐’•๐’“๐’‚๐’•๐’†๐’ˆ๐’Š ๐‘บ๐’๐’„๐’Š๐’†๐’•๐’š, Faculty of Management. The event also featured a distinguished panel of six judges from Universitas Bung Hatta (Indonesia), Universitas Andalas (Indonesia), Faculty of Civil Engineering, and Faculty of Management, UTM.
Each team presented their green prototype along with a poster detailing the productโ€™s purpose, development process, materials used, and environmental impact. The presentations, held physically, encouraged students to refine their communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while promoting sustainability awareness.
