Dr. Nor Hamimah Mastor
Dr. Nor Hamimah has been with Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) since 1997 and currently is a senior lecturer of Accounting and Finance department of Faculty of Management. She has 21 years of teaching experience. Nor Hamimah Mastor is an experienced accounting educator with a strong passion for teaching and mentoring students in the field of accounting and taxation. She has taught a wide range of core and advanced accounting courses, including Taxation 1, Taxation 2, Advanced Taxation, Introduction to Financial Accounting, Management Accounting 1 and 2, as well as specialised elective courses such as Accounting for Islamic Financial Transactions. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes clarity, relevance, and the integration of real-world applications to help students develop both technical competence and critical thinking skills. Nor Hamimah earned her bachelors’ degree in Accountancy with Honours from Northern University of Malaysia and Masters of Accounting from National University of Malaysia. Her PhD thesis is on the post-adoption of tax efiling system in Malaysia (Teknology University of Malaysia- 2015). Her research passion is grounded on accounting, taxation, and management field. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Nor Hamimah is actively involved in supervising student research at the undergraduate, master’s, and PhD levels. Her supervision covers diverse research areas such as taxation, accounting education, auditing, and selected topics within management. She is committed to nurturing students’ research capabilities and guiding them toward producing high-quality academic work. With her dedication to academic excellence, Nor Hamimah continues to contribute to the advancement of accounting knowledge and to inspire future professionals in the discipline
