A Student from Bachelor of Accounting with honours Faculty of Management UTM attended the 26th Accountancy Week Networking Event held at Universiti Putra Malaysia on 22 April 2026. The event, themed โEmpowering Next Generation Accountants,โ was organized by Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
The UTM delegation comprised five selected Year 3 and Year 4 accounting students: Alia Raihana, Azwania Begum, Lee Xin Ling, Avinash, and Siti Muawanah. They were accompanied by MICPA Ambassadors Harini and Nurazirah, as well as academic staff Assoc. Prof. Dr Maisarah and Dr Nor Hamimah.
The primary objective of the event was to foster networking opportunities between accounting students from higher education institutions and key industry players. Participating organizations included leading firms such as PwC, Deloitte, Baker Tilly, Grant Thornton, Johor Corporation and Alliance Bank Malaysia Berhad.
The event was successfully conducted and provided valuable exposure for the participating students. It also significantly enhanced the visibility of UTM accounting students, positioning them as promising talents and a strong pipeline for future recruitment by industry leaders.
