Faculty of Management UTM successfully organised the Final Year Project (FYP) Symposium for students of the Bachelor of Accounting with Honours programme on 26 June 2026. The symposium provided a formal academic platform for final-year students to present and defend the findings of their research projects before a panel of academic evaluators.
A total of 55 final year students presented their research, which was assessed by 15 academic staff members from the Department of Accounting and Finance. The symposium was coordinated by Assoc. Prof. Dr Noriza Mohd Jamal together with a dedicated organising committee, ensuring that all research presentations and manuscripts met the programme’s academic standards and complied with the required scholarly format.
Beyond serving as an academic assessment, the symposium enhanced students’ research communication skills, strengthened their critical thinking abilities, and provided valuable experience in presenting research findings and responding professionally to questions from academic experts. The event reflected the department’s commitment to nurturing graduates who are confident, competent, and well-prepared for professional practice and future research endeavours.
