𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩 (𝐈𝐄𝐑𝐆), Faculty of Management, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) lead by 𝐃𝐫. 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐢 𝐈𝐥𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐚 𝐂𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐦, recently launched an impactful project on recycling used cooking oil through the 𝐊𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐞 (𝐊𝐓𝐏@𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐲).
14 local vendors from Medan Selera Taman Sri Pulai gathered on 27 October 2024 to learn how recycling used cooking oil can reduce environmental harm and boost their income. Through interactive sessions and hands-on training, they discovered safe and effective methods for collecting and processing used oil that open up new income opportunities while contributing to sustainability.
Dr. Hanini emphasised that this initiative aims to foster eco-conscious habits within the community, saying, “𝘕𝘰𝘵 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘫𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘦𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘰𝘳𝘴 𝘰𝘯 𝘴𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘨𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘪𝘵 𝘢𝘭𝘴𝘰 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘷𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘴 𝘢 𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘸𝘢𝘺 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮 𝘵𝘰 𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯 𝘢𝘥𝘥𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘣𝘺 𝘳𝘦𝘱𝘶𝘳𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘶𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘤𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘪𝘭.”
