


Professor Dr Nur Naha Abu Mansoor, the Dean of the Faculty of Business, Sohar University as well as programme directors, research group leaders, and faculty members were present. The purpose of the international trip was to launch and advance both faculty members’ global academic and research engagements. The visioning and energising of research groups, the creation of centres of excellence, joint research grants, such as AIMS4Star Sustainable Collaborative Engagement and Oman Vision 2040 on CSR and Sustainability, the co-organization of international conferences, collaborative PhD supervision, as well as improvements to the accounting programmes, were among the significant agendas discussed and agreed upon.



On future projects and venues for collaboration, interactive discussions were also had with the Vice Chancellor and Deputy Vice Chancellor of Sohar University.
There was also a sharing session held with all faculty members from various disciplines on “How to Publish in Q1 and Q2 High Impact Journals” and “Exploring New Research Agendas Using Bibliometric Analysis”. Also, a discussion about the standards for producing research reports, research ethics, plagiarism, and references was held with the undergraduate and graduate students of Sohar University.
Dr Suresh and Mr Adnan also had the opportunity to take part in the Oman Independence Day celebration, bringing it to a triumphant and most memorable conclusion of the visit. May this trip strengthen the relationship between UTM and Sohar University even more. Way to go!
