The Faculty of Management UTM is proud of our Bachelor of Management (Technology) graduate, Ms. Eileen Ting Sin Yee, for being awarded the prestigous Anugerah Cemerlang Pingat Emas Tun Fatimah Hj Hashim (Tun Fatimah Hj Hashim Gold Medal Excellence Award) at the recent Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM)’s 67th Convocation Ceremony.

Choosing the Faculty of Management UTM for its reputation and robust academic support, Eileen excelled in various aspects, ranging from academics to extracurricular activities. A consistent name on the Dean’s List, she has shown an extraordinary commitment to maintaining high academic standards. This dedication was further highlighted when Eileen received the Best Undergraduate Research Award at a conference, marking a significant milestone in her academic journey.

Eileen, who is originally from the quaint town of Labis, has set a remarkable example of academic and leadership excellence. Raised in a family that values unity and hard work, and cherishes memories of growing up amidst the warmth of tradition and modernity, she has attributed her success to the unwavering support and educational values instilled by her parents.

Her experiences at the Faculty are marked by notable memories, such as organising the Usahawan Digital event, which fostered a deep sense of community and teamwork. Industrial visits to Legoland for assignments, and excursions to the BMW Asia Technology Center and Lee Pineapple Co Pte Ltd had provided Eileen with practical insights, blending learning with real-world application.

Leadership roles in organising international conferences, including collaboration with MITI and active participation in the Southern Youth Leadership Conferences, have showcased Eileen’s capability to thrive in challenging environments and contribute meaningfully to her peers’ growth.

Reflecting on her colourful degree journey, Eileen shares vital success tips: maintaining self-belief despite challenges, having consistent effort, patience, and being open to new opportunities. Her story is a testament to the power of perseverance, dedication, and the courage to step out of one’s comfort zone.

We hope that as you move forward, the lessons learned and experiences gained at the Faculty of Management will serve as a robust foundation for your future endeavours, Eileeen!
