Prof. Dr. Khalil Md Nor

Prof. Dr. Khalil Md Nor has been with Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) since 1992 and is currently a Professor at the Faculty of Management. With more than three decades of teaching experience, he has contributed to academic development, curriculum design, and supervision at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. His research interests include technology adoption, strategic information systems planning, e-commerce, knowledge management, and organizational management. These areas reflect his focus on understanding how information systems and digital technologies influence organizational management and performance. He has authored and co-authored more than 200 academic publications, including journal articles, conference papers, and scholarly works. Professor Khalil has also been involved in international engagement, leading to collaborative research projects. Among these is his involvement in international research on electronic banking services in Romania, which highlights his interest in comparative and global perspectives on information systems adoption. Academically, he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Industrial Management and his Master’s degree in Public Management and Policy from Carnegie Mellon University. He completed his Ph.D. at Southern Illinois University–Carbondale in 2005, with a dissertation focusing on the adoption of Internet banking in Malaysia, a topic that aligns closely with his broader research interests in technology adoption.
