On 6 December 2023, the community service project “Financial Literacy: Sustainability for the Future” was conducted at SMK Pasir Gudang 2. Organised by the Project Management Class Section 02 and guided by Dr. Mohd Zulfabli Hasan, this initiative targeted 50 Form 6 students.
The project’s primary objective was to enhance financial literacy among the participants, focusing specifically on equipping students with essential awareness and skills for prudent financial management. The programme introduced the use of financial manager applications, such as the Money Manager App, to align with current technological advancements. The tool facilitated the recording of expenses, helping participants understand their spending habits and manage daily expenses wisely.
The financial literacy programme emphasised the importance of careful financial management for a stable and comfortable future, considering the country’s economic situation. It highlighted the significance of understanding personal finances and having a financial plan that lead to reducing financial stress, thereby contributing to enhanced mental and physical well-being.

The project also encouraged the sharing of services using the application among students and committee members. This community service project aimed to lay the foundation for a financially resilient future within the student community.
