𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐏𝐫𝐨) 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦: 𝐄𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤
Faculty of Management, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and Kolej Vokasional Kota Tinggi (KV), Johor successfully collaborated in a knowledge transfer program titled “Professional Skills and Business Communication (SkillPro)”.
 
This initiative involves 52 Bachelor of Management (Technology) with Honours students from UTM, who are enrolling in the Business Communication course (SBSD 2033) and 55 students from KV Kota Tinggi. Led by 𝑫𝒓. 𝑻𝒆𝒉 𝒁𝒂𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒉 𝒀𝒂𝒂𝒄𝒐𝒃 from the Department of Management and Technology, this service learning program aims to provide students with practical applications of their communication and business skills through various interactive and collaborative activities, including developing a business proposal and creating a Canva promotional poster.
The program began with a fun ice-breaking session where students named their groups and created unique cheers to foster teamwork. It was followed with training on module development and business skills using Canva, helping students gain practical digital design and communication skills.
 
The impact of the SkillPro program on participants has been encouraging, with significant improvements in their ability to communicate and work as part of a team. The hands-on experience in real-world scenarios has honed their skills and empowered them with the confidence to face the complexities of modern business communication.
 
The dedication and hard work of the Business Communication students from UTM and KV Kota Tinggi have been a crucial part of the success of this program. Overall, the SkillPro program effectively bridges theoretical learning and real-world application.
