Collaborative Effort to Strengthen Johor’s Professional Talent Pipeline

In a collaborative effort to strengthen Johor’s professional talent pipeline, Sunway TES College Johor Bahru represented by Mr Krishna and Ms Dyllana, made a special visit to the Faculty of Management, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) on 10 July 2025.
The key sharing session was to promote pursuing professional qualification including ACCA, ICAEW, CPA Australia to UTM students with the aim of developing professional accounting career.

This initiative is part of a strategic program supported by Yayasan Peneraju which offers funding assistance to eligible students to pursue the ACCA qualification. The financial support ensures that capable and deserving students, particularly from Johor, are not held back by financial constraints to pursue their professional qualification.

The program is also aligned with the Johor State Government’s vision to develop a skilled professional workforce for the Johor-Singapore Economic Zone (JSEZ). By equipping local graduates with globally recognized professional credentials, the state aims to enhance its competitiveness and attract more high-value investments into the region.

Students were excited to learn how this qualification could open doors not only in Malaysia, but across the globe. The session concluded with strong interest from UTM undergraduates and an encouraging message from both institutions: The future of nation lies in its people and we are building a generation of world-class professionals.
