Dedicated to ensuring an exceptional academic journey for our students, the Faculty of Management at UTM organized an enriching event on 5th October 2023 – the Academic Advising and Supervision Course. Held at the idyllic Golfers’ Lounge in Horizon Hills, the event provided a conducive environment for faculty members to delve into the intricacies of academic guidance and mentorship.
The session was graced by distinguished speakers whose insights added immense value to the course. Prof. Dr. Intan Zaurah Mat Darus, an eminent figure and currently serving as the acting Chair of the School of Undergraduate Studies, took the stage to expound upon the freshly updated Academic Regulations and Guidelines for the year 2023. With great emphasis, she highlighted the pivotal role of academic counseling in unearthing the latent potential within each student. Her comprehensive presentation illuminated the faculty on the evolving landscape of academic requirements, ensuring that they are equipped to guide students effectively.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Noor Hazarina Hashim, an esteemed authority and Chair of the UTM School of Postgraduate Studies, offered invaluable perspectives on managing doctoral students. Her discourse extended beyond conventional approaches, stressing the significance of fostering open dialogues and providing constructive feedback, especially within the diverse tapestry of student backgrounds. Her insights resonated deeply with the faculty, offering them profound strategies for nurturing the next generation of academic leaders.
