The 3rd year Management of Technology students recently visited Johor Port Authority (LPJ) and Johor Port on 25 May 2023. The students were given a tour of the port facilities and learned about the different aspects of the port industry. It was an immersive learning experience that complemented their classroom knowledge.
Our students had the chance to interact with industry professionals and gain valuable insights into the maritime industry. They learned about the various operations, logistics, and technologies involved in port management. This exposure broadened their understanding of real-world applications and career prospects in this field.
During the visit, students had the chance to network with professionals from LPJ. Building connections with industry experts may open doors for internships, future collaborations, and career opportunities.
LPJ is committed to supporting the development of human capital in Johor. The industrial visit was part of LPJ’s efforts in promoting the port industry to young people and encouraging them to consider careers in the sector.
