Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mahadi Bahari
Dr. Mahadi Bahari is an Associate Professor of Information Systems at the Faculty of Management, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), where he has served since 1997 and currently holds the role of Deputy Dean of Research, Innovation and Development (TDPIP). He earned his Bachelor’s (1997) and Master’s (2000) degrees in Computer Science from UTM, followed by a Ph.D. in Information Systems from Brunel University London in 2013, where his research focused on the implementation of Citizen Relationship Management in Malaysian local government. His research interests span IS/IT adoption and implementation, IS healthcare and healthcare informatics, business analytics, digital transformation, AI Governance, and Smart Tourism. Dr. Mahadi has published more than 70 indexed articles in reputable journals and conferences across information systems, business management, computer science, and social sciences, with his work presented internationally in Asia, Europe, and South America. He has authored two research monographs on telerehabilitation and four books on database systems, including the award-winning A Structural Model of Healthcare Personnel Readiness for Telerehabilitation, which received the Buku Karya Ilmiah Terbaik 2021 from USIM Press. A dedicated academic mentor, he has supervised and graduated numerous Ph.D. and Master’s students and has been recognized with multiple local and international awards for his research and consultancy contributions. He also holds a Tableau Desktop certification and actively conducts capacity-building workshops on literature reviews, grant writing, and publication development.
