Dr. Nazmona Mat Ali
Dr. Nazmona Mat Ali is a Senior Lecturer at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in the Department of Information Systems, Faculty of Management, where she has been serving since 2000. She currently heads the Information Systems Academic Panel and plays a leading role in various academic and community projects. Nazmona earned her Ph.D. in Informatics from the University of Reading, UK, and holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from UTM. Her research focuses on Information Systems, Knowledge Management, Business Intelligence and Analytics, and Organisational Semiotics, with over 40 academic publications to her credit. In addition to her academic responsibilities, Dr. Nazmona is actively engaged in community initiatives and knowledge transfer programs aimed at digital ethics and responsible technology use. She is widely invited to speak on digital competencies and ethical technology practices in educational institutions. Nazmona is also a project leader for Bangsa Johor Bahagia (BJB) under the Komuniti Digital Beretika initiative. This program emphasizes promoting ethical digital community behavior and digital literacy, reflecting her commitment to societal benefit through technology education. Her professional involvement spans several research and development projects in Malaysia’s higher education and digital innovation sectors, making her a significant contributor to both academic and community advancements in information technology and digital ethics. Dr. Nazmona Mat Ali exemplifies a blend of expert scholarship and community leadership in the IT and management fields.
