Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suresh Ramakrishnan

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suresh Ramakrishnan is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Management, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and a scholar specializing in Corporate Finance, ESG, Corporate Governance and Sustainability. He obtained his PhD from Deakin University, Melbourne, Australia, Master of Business Administration (Finance) from Universiti Putra Malaysia (2002), and Bachelor of Management (Technology- Finance) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. With over 26 years of experience in teaching, research, and academic leadership, he has held several key administrative positions, including Deputy Director of Global Strategy and Engagement, UTM International, Deputy Dean of Research, Innovation, Development and Alumni at Azman Hashim International Business School, and Deputy Dean of Research, Innovation and Development at the Faculty of Management. Currently, he is leading the Ranking Office at Centre for Strategy, Risk and Ranking, Office of Strategy and Global Eminence. As prolific researcher, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suresh has published extensively more than 125 indexed journals in Web of Science and Scopus, focusing on Corporate Finance, governance quality, ESG integration, corporate social responsibility, and financial resilience in emerging markets. His research integrates rigorous empirical methodologies with policy-relevant insights that support sustainable finance and responsible investment practices. He sits on several international editorial boards. He has successfully supervised 37 PhD graduates from Malaysia and abroad, and serves as PhD external examiner and research evaluator for local and foreign universities. At the national level, he has contributed to the Pelan Tindakan Pembangunan Pendidikan Malaysia (PPPM 2015–2025 and 2021–2025) and serves as Panel of Expert for research grant evaluations under MOSTI and MOHE.
