Dr. Ruzita Selamat
Dr Ruzita Selamat has been with Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) since the year 2000 and is a senior lecturer of management at the Faculty of Management. She has involved in teaching multiple courses namely Principles of Management; Organizational Behavior; Human Resource Management; and Engineering Management across multiple faculties in UTM. She is currently assuming the roles of Head of Management Panel and the Head of Program for the Bachelor of Management with Honors. Her research passion revolves around the issues and challenges of human resource management such as employee appraisal, benefits and welfare, competence acquisition and informal learning at the workplace, and the strategic role of HR. She has written more than 23 publications encompassing journal articles, books and book chapters, as well as conference proceedings. Dr Ruzita had the opportunity to share her knowledge and experience via few sharing sessions involving public and private institutions outside UTM such as Radiography College Hospital Sultanah Aminah, Malaysian Shipyard Engineering, and Permodalan Nasional Berhad. Dr Ruzita earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in 1997 from Institut Teknologi MARA, and later pursued her Masters of Business Administration at the Graduate School of Management, Universiti Putra Malaysia in 2000. Her PhD thesis was completed in 2017 embedding the topic of “Modelling the Competence Acquisition of Accountancy Trainees and the Role of HR and Line Managers in Facilitating Workplace Learning”.
