On 2 January 2024, the UTM School of Undergraduate Studies(UGS) and the Faculty of Management UTM Industrial Training Committee organised an impactful and beneficial programme for the final year students. The FM Industrial Training Preparatory Programme, led by Dr. Mohamad Shah bin Kassim, took place at the Convention Hall, Faculty of Management.
The programme’s objective was to equip students with crucial workplace skills and the right attitude through the six modules:
✳️ Curriculum Vitae Writing
✳️ Workplace Ethics
✳️ Health and Safety
✳️ Communication Skills
✳️ Leadership
✳️ Teamwork
✳️ Project Management
The programme, which included both virtual and face-to-face modules, was mandatory for all students before industrial training. Online modules, including Curriculum Vitae Writing, Workplace Ethics, and Health and Safety were conducted on 31 October 2023, by UGS and Faculty of Management lecturers.
Emphasis was placed on adhering to proper application procedures and maintaining the appropriate attitude when approaching companies. The successful completion of the preparatory programme ensured that students were well-prepared for workplace challenges during internships, providing them with the necessary skills for success in a professional environment.
The FM Industrial Training Committee members, Pn. Sariati Azman, Dr. Noraindah Abdullah Fahim, and Dr. Yogeeswari Subramaniam, work hard to ensure that all students pass their internships with flying colours.
We wish all the best to the students pursuing industrial training in the upcoming semester and thank the Industrial Training Committee for organising this important event!
